Being retired, the pandemic did not affect a working life. However, I did not do the things I was used to doing, e.g., seeing family and friends. I nearly lost a good friend to Covid. Thank God he has recovered. One realizes how important family and friends are and how insignificant other things are during times such as this. It is a shame it takes times such as this to make people understand this simple thing. It is also a shame how quickly this is forgotten as life gets back to somewhat “normal”. I am forever thankful that my family and friends have weathered the pandemic relatively unscathed. I pray for those who were less fortunate.
